My homegirl has been asking me to get out with her on Tuesday nights to a spot in Fort Lauderdale called Porterhouse. We’ve been there before but it’s been some years.
When we pulled up last night I immediately remembered the spot. What I remember most was that I got my dance on in here. I was able to vibe with the music and the drinks where well made and resonably priced (the cover charge was resonable, too! – Ladies get in free and drink free before midnight). These are things I like.
What’s better is I know two of the young ladies now bartending there: Monique and Ashley, beautiful women, doing the damn thing. Looking great and working hard to ensure a good time is had by all.
This is not a drink out of a glass type of spot. I wanted a martini but was satified with a gin and tonic in a clear – not cloudy – hard plastic cup. Okay, maybe it was a few gin and tonics…but that’s none of your business, LOL
I loved the bar that opens up to Riverwalk. I like the feeling of being inside and outside almost at the same time. It was a nice refuge from the interior of the bar where after midnight it quickly becomes crowded and sweatbox hot. Some ceiling fans would improve the interior experience tremendously.
Its a bit dingy but everyone is rocking so hard you barely notice. I do wonder what it’s like during the day. I’m told it’s a grill and bar but there was no menu available for me to view. I will have to stop by when the kitchen is open, soon.
Overall, I had a great time. I would recommened this spot to anyone needing to get out, shake a leg, post up, people watch and sip on something.
When you do stop by tell Monique and Ashley, Nakeesha sent you. And take care of the ladies, we work hard for our money.
Try it for yourself. This is just one woman’s opinion.
