“I shouldn’t ‘ve left you without a STRONG rhyme to step to.” [Eric B. & Rakim, “I Know You Got Soul”, LP: Paid In Full, (1987), Island Records, Inc.]
I have been busy doing good things. Laying the foundation to live my best life.
I cannot believe it has been over a year since my last post. Time takes over; it is both slow and fast simultaneously.
At times it feels as if the progress moves at the pace of cold molasses. And then there are the times when the flash of change is so swift it could be missed in the blink of an eye.
I turned 40 in 2016. Forty. The big 4-0. For OH!
I stopped covering my gray a while back. I am considering cutting off the part that was color treated. Ready for a fresh cut. Maybe a bob just past my shoulders? We shall #cNakeesha.
Embracing my age, my knowledge and my growth while understanding that I want to continue to age, to continue to gain knowledge and to continue to grow. There is still a ways to go in my journey. It’s all good.
On break from my day job this week. Had a great visit with family passing through on the way to the port to go cruising. I have yet to go on a cruise. Another maybe, one day?
Hope all is well in your world. Thank you for reading. #keepupthegoodwork #ICU
