Established in 2008, WordCamp Miami has grown to be one of the biggest and best WordCamps in the world.

I may be somewhat biased but I would bet there are many who agree with me. My first experience with WordCamp was in 2014, as a volunteer. The next year I gave my first talk, “Writing for the Web.” As a content writer and editor, I felt more than welcomed by the mainly tech community.

Since then I have attended and spoken again. This year I was a part of the incredible organizers’ team as a volunteer coordinator. The individual, sponor and student volunteers are an intrical part of why WordCamp Miami continues to be a successful event.

It’s inspiring to be surrounded by people who selflessly give their time and energy to create a great experience for everyone.

It’s not your average conference and not your average networking. It’s an opportunity to learn something new AND INTERESTING TO YOU. It’s the start of amazing business connections and friendships. It’s an atmosphere that sparks aha moments.
